Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Puloca Yacht Company ("Puloca," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information in connection with this website, pulocayachtcompany.com (the "Site"), and the choices available to visitors. It applies only to information collected through the Site.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and how you found us. Every other field is optional: a telephone number, a message, the type, make, model, and length of your vessel, its home port, your current management arrangement, and the services that interest you. Where an answer names another person or firm, such as the person who referred you, that name becomes part of the inquiry record.

Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider and the network security service in front of the Site keep standard server logs, which record the IP address a request comes from, the time it arrives, the page requested, and the browser making the request. The Site also records how a visit arrived, meaning the campaign or advertising identifiers in the link you followed or, absent those, the address of the referring website. Your browser holds that value for the duration of the visit, and it is attached to an inquiry only if you submit the contact form. This collection does not depend on the cookie preferences described below.

How We Use Information

We use this information to respond to inquiries, to assess whether our services may fit a prospective client's situation, to maintain the records of our relationships, to measure how the Site is used and which of our marketing produces inquiries, and to protect the Site and the contact form against automated or fraudulent submissions. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to anything, or add you to a mailing list.

Cookies and Consent Preferences

On your first visit, the Site presents a consent banner, with acceptance and decline offered on equal terms. The banner groups cookies and similar technologies into three categories: Necessary, Performance, and Targeting. Necessary covers functions the Site requires, including the record of your consent choice. Performance covers Google Analytics, and Targeting covers third-party advertising technologies, including Meta's; both are described under Performance and Targeting below. Neither the Performance nor the Targeting category operates until you accept it, and each may be accepted or declined independently of the other.

Your choice is stored in your browser so that the banner does not reappear on each page. The network security service in front of the Site may set a cookie of its own to distinguish ordinary traffic from an attack. Apart from the consent record and any such security cookie, cookies are set only by tools you have accepted.

Performance and Targeting

If you accept the Performance category, the Site uses Google Analytics, a measurement service that reports which pages are viewed, how visitors move between them, the kinds of devices in use, and the general area a visit comes from. Google describes how it collects and processes this data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

If you accept the Targeting category, advertising technologies operated by third parties, including Meta, may be placed on pages of the Site. Through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, these parties may collect information about your activity on this Site and on other websites and applications over time, may combine it with information gathered about you elsewhere on the internet, and may use it to measure the performance of advertising, to build advertising audiences, and to select and deliver advertisements to you elsewhere, including across the devices you use. We may use these tools to measure which advertising produces inquiries and to present our advertising to people who have already visited the Site.

Nothing submitted through the contact form is shared with these providers.

How We Share Information

Information is shared with the service providers that operate the Site on our behalf: the hosting provider, the network security service, and the platform where inquiry records are kept and from which our notification email is sent. Each processes information for our purposes and under an agreement with us. The analytics and advertising providers described above receive information under their own privacy policies, which govern their use of it.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Puloca, our clients, or others.

We do not sell the information submitted through the contact form, and we do not give it to any party for that party's own marketing.

Your Privacy Choices

Consent to the Performance and Targeting categories may be given or withdrawn at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page. The providers also offer controls of their own: Meta makes advertising preferences available within its account settings, Google publishes a browser add-on that disables Google Analytics on any site, and the Digital Advertising Alliance operates an industry opt-out covering many advertising companies at once.

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal, and some send a Global Privacy Control signal. The Site does not respond to either.

Data Retention

Inquiry records are kept while an inquiry is active and for the life of any client relationship that follows. Records that lead to no relationship are reviewed periodically and deleted. Server logs are retained on the schedules of the providers that keep them.

Reviewing, Correcting, or Deleting Your Information

Requests to review, correct, or delete submitted information may be sent to privacy@pulocayachtcompany.com. We will verify that a request comes from the person the record concerns, ordinarily by requiring that it be sent from the email address used on the form. Deletion removes the inquiry record; copies within correspondence already sent may persist in our mailbox and in routine backups for a period afterward.

Security

The Site is served over an encrypted connection, and information submitted through the form travels encrypted from your browser to our server. Browsers are instructed to run scripts on the Site only from approved sources, and the contact form carries protections against forged and automated submissions. Although we maintain reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Federal law imposes special restrictions and obligations on commercial website operators that direct their operations toward, and collect and use information from, children under the age of 13. The Site and our services are directed to people 18 years of age or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13.

If we become aware that anyone under the age of 18 has submitted personal information through the Site, we will delete that information and will not use it for any purpose whatsoever.

If you believe we have collected personal information from a minor, please contact us at privacy@pulocayachtcompany.com.

Links to Other Websites

The Site, including this policy, links to websites operated by others. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and this policy does not apply to them.

Changes to This Policy

This policy is revised when the Site or our practices change. A material change, meaning one that alters what is collected, who receives it, or how it is used, is reflected in a revised policy posted on this page, with the date at its foot updated.

Questions about this policy and requests concerning submitted information may be directed to privacy@pulocayachtcompany.com.
